On Tuesday, the YMS Stage Band participated in the District 8 Stage Band Festival and was the only middle school group to receive an "A" rating with an "A" from each judge. In addition, the trumpet section and trombone sections were named best of all the middle school groups. Individual students receiving recongition were Zach Gordon, Daniel Bickley, Jonathon Jagt, Scott Cabaniss, Ellen O'Neal, Stephanie Dygert and Kyle Abbott.
