Michael Weinstein IB Theory of Knowledge

Teacher Picture  

Michael Weinstein graduated from the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science in National Security and Public Affairs.  He served for twenty years in a variety of US Army combat arms units including armor, cavalry, and infantry culminating with duty in the 3rd Armor Division during Operation Desert Storm. During this service he earned three Masters Degrees: an MA in History from Penn State, an MS Ed. from ODU, and a Masters Certificate in Government Contracting from George Washington University.  From 1985-1988, he taught American History at the United States Military Academy and coached the Army Crew Team.

Mr. Weinstein has been teaching at York high for twelve years, starting in 1995.  He served in the United Kingdom on a Fulbright teacher exchange for one year in 1999-2000 and returned to York High to become IB department chair from August 2000-2005.  Mr. Weinstein currently serves as faculty advisor for the York High School Model United Nations Club and the Chess Club.  He teaches World History I, AP Psychology,  IB History of the Americas (HL) and IB Theory of Knowledge.
