Gifted Education Advisory CommitteeGlobe

The Gifted Education Advisory Committee (GEAC) is composed of YCSD parents, school personnel, and other community members.  The purpose is to advise the school board through the division superintendent of the educational needs of the division’s gifted students.

Each school has a parent representative.  The GEAC Representative for YHS is Sandra Hood.

Parents and other interested persons are welcome to attend the meetings and to express their views.  Meetings are quarterly and are located in the YCSD School Board Offices Round Room. For more information regarding GEAC or YCSD Gifted Education, visit the links to the left.

All meetings are scheduled on a Tuesday at 7pm.

  • GEAC is seeking board members for the coming year.  If you are interested in participating, please contact the YHS Rep.
  • Parents & students are invited to respond to a YCSD Survey regarding gifted education & programs in the YCSD.   Please check your email messages – the surveys will be available online.  You are encouraged to respond; surveys will be collected by Spring Break.
