Welcome to the home page for YHS's National Honor Society Chapter!  This page is designed for current members, future applicants, and their parents. 

National Honor Society (NHS) is an organization devoted to acknowledging high school students who have excelled in Leadership, Service, Character, and Scholarship. NHS members make every effort to work for the betterment of their community.

Every high school that is part of NHS has its own set of rules and standards that are laid down by its advisors. In addition, each state that has schools that are part of NHS has a state board and state advisors. The job of the state advisors is to make sure that each school follows the national charter of the National Honor Society.
