WMES FAM News

Donna Savage, President of the Newport News Reading Council, presents Kathie Nett, Reading Specialist, with a gift certificate to the Teacher's Store. Waller Mill Elementary School Fine Arts Magnet received recognition as the school with the highest percentage of faculty members joining the Newport News Reading Council this school year.



Waller Mill Elementary School Fine Arts Magnet hosted a two day workshop with noted children's book illustrator, Catherine Stock. Ms. Stock shared the process of illustrating and writing books with the students.



Waller Mill Elementary School Fine Arts Magnet grade two teacher Joycelyn Krawzcel received a $250.00 grant from Langley Federal Credit Union to support an educational project using money and economic principles.
