CHROME Our last CHROME Club Meeting was Wednesday, January 11, from 3:30-4:30. The guest speaker was: Norris Wike National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration Atlantic Hydrographic Branch CHROME stands for Cooperating Hampton Roads Organization for Minorities in Engineering. All are welcome to join this club. This is our Science, Math and Technology club. Our 17-member club is made up of fourth and fifth graders and we focus on careers that involve the need for science, math and technology. Students are given the opportunity to work once per month with an individual from the community who works in these fields and they do hands-on activities to get them interested in and excited about possible career opportunities for them in these fields. |
