The year is winding down, and I would like to thank all the parents, grandparents, staff and faculty who joined the PTA this year and volunteered their time to make this year’s Parent Teacher Association such a success! I have enjoyed the opportunity to be more involved in “school life,” and I look forward to serving you again next year as PTA President. Although summer is here, volunteers will be needed August 14 for Tiger Trek, a program for rising 6th graders. This special program provides an opportunity for students to visit the school and get comfortable with the idea of changing classes and using lockers! The kids really look forward to this day! Parents and teachers will be needed in the morning to check in kids from all three feeder elementary schools, set up lunch, guide students, and help with various classroom activities. Please contact the Guidance Office if you can help. Those of you with extra time over the summer may want to consider helping with our “long term” project – stenciling the walls of TMS with school spirit! Please contact Melinda Geskey at melgeskey@yahoo.com or 867-1014 if you are interested. Stenciling experience is helpful, but certainly not required. All supplies are provided – we just need adult volunteers to help brighten our hallways! Also over the summer, please continue to save your box tops for education, Campbell’s Soup labels, and Farm Fresh receipts. These free fundraisers take very little time, but can provide many new resources and supplies to TMS. Have a great summer and see you at the
