I am so glad to be at Tabb Middle School. This is my first year as a Tiger. Before transferring here, I taught in Newport News for four years and I served on the Lead Team for two years. 

I grew up in Poquoson, so orange and black is a big change for me. I twirled baton for thirteen years growing up and competed on the State, Regional and National level. I received my Bachelor’s from ODU in Political Science with a minor in International Studies. After graduating, I took a teaching job in Newport News and completed my Master’s in Special Education. After four years in Newport News, I decided it was time for a change and accepted a job at Tabb Middle School. I got married last year to my high school sweetheart in Colonial Williamsburg. I like to spend my time playing with my two Shiba Inus, Missy and Sammy. I enjoy reading historical novels, but my favorite book has always been Through the Looking Glass.  I take pleasure in watching Dallas football with my brothers. (Go Cowboys!)  I like a wide variety of TV shows. Finally, my husband and I spend time challenging each other when playing Wii games.
