Mrs. Anne Wozniak
Civics & Economics 7

Welcome

Syllabus

Civics
& Economics
It is my pleasure to be
your child’s teacher for this
course. The students will learn about the role citizens play in
the American political and economic systems. This hands-on course
is intended to foster patriotism, respect for the law, a sense of civic
duty, and informed economic decision making. During this
year, we will study the United States and Virginia Constitutions, the
structure and function of government institutions at the national,
state, and local levels, and the basic structure and operation of the
American economy. I will do everything I can to help your child
learn, enjoy, and pass this course. In return, I expect your
child to put forth his/her very best efforts to learn. If a child
wishes to stay for after school help, please let me know a day or so
ahead of time so that I may adjust my after school schedule if
necessary. Please feel free to contact me with questions or
concerns at 867-7450 / awozniak@ycsd.york.va.us.
Thanks ahead of time for your cooperation and
support!
