Parental Involvement
Parental involvement is emphasized. Title I staff invite parents to call or meet with them as needed throughout the school year. Parents are also invited to schedule times to observe their students’ lessons both in the classroom and in Title I reading lessons. Workshops for parents are provided each quarter of the school year.

Each school receiving Title I funds requests to have three Title I Parent Advisory Council members, one per grade level. A representative from each school serves on the division-wide Title I Parent Advisory Council.
You are invited to attend the Title I Advisory Council meeting for your child’s school. The Quarter 4 meetings will be held during May on these dates:
- May 9, 2008 at 8 AM –- Tabb Elementary School
- May 13, 2008 at 3:45 PM –- Dare Elementary School
- May 16, 2008 at 8 AM –- Bethel Manor Elementary School
- May 20, 2008 at 7:45 AM -– Magruder Elementary School
- May 21, 2008 at 8 AM –- Waller Mill Elementary School
