Internet Safety
York County Schools and Tabb High School recognizes the instructional benefits of the Internet while protecting students from its risks. All students in the division who use York County School computers must sign an Acceptable Use Policy. This policy clearly states the appropriate use of its computer system for the safety of students and the consequences for misuse.
All students must undergo Internet Safety Training in their English classes at the beginning of the school year. New students to Tabb High School take the Internet Safety Training provided online. Without this training students are not allowed on the interent while in school.
Below you will find the link to a wide variety of resources provided by the Virginia Department of Education. These resources can help all parents and guardians maintain a safe and secure environment for their home computer and protect their children while using the Internet. You will also find the link to the student online training.
