11711 Creative Writing (Poetry)
This course provides students with the opportunity to
develop poetic writing techniques. Emphsasis is placed on
lyric and narrative style, traditional poetic forms,
tone, and allusion.

In this course students extend their prose writing
techniques. Emphasis is placed on a variety of prose
models that include short stories, essays, and dramatic
scripts.

This course highlights basic speech communication
theories. Topics of focus include: interviews, group
dynamics, delivery techniques, and informative and
persuasive presentations.

communication delivery models. Emphasis is placed on
Powerpoint presentations, debate, prose, and poetic
