Third Grade Goals
Third grade is a year of learning and growing.  It is a transitional time, progressing from early discovery to more in-depth learning.  In addition to academics, a major emphasis is placed on the development of organizational skills and self reliance.

Our mission is to prepare our students to become well rounded and productive citizens who are comfortable with themselves and in their interactions with others.

We firmly believe that life-long success depends on self-discipline. Therefore, we have developed a classroom plan that affords every student the opportunity to manage his or her own behavior.
Your child deserves the most positive educational climate possible for academic growth. The following rules will be in effect at all times:
1.Follow directions the first time they are given.
2.Raise you hand and be called upon before speaking.
3.Keep body parts, objects, and negative comments to yourself.
4.Have necessary materials for class work.
5.Remain seated unless you have permission to get up.

Our students have been informed about the classroom rules, but we would appreciate it if you would review the rules with your child. We will be communicating with you throughout the year to keep you informed about your child's progress.
