Thursday, June 12th - the last day of school – have a fun and safe summer

This will be the last time we will be sending home a book order.  Stock up on some good summer reading.  All orders are due Thursday, May 8th.

We continue to move along with our reading, writing, and math.  This can be a hard time of the year with the warmer weather and longer days.  Please keep your child on a good bedtime schedule and continue working on reading and math skills at home.  We are giving the children the spring PALS test between May 12th and May 23rd.  We will be communicating your child's test results to you soon after testing.

Please be aware of what your child wears to school.  Tennis shoes are a must for outside play.  As it gets warmer outside, the air-conditioning will be running and your child may require a light sweater or jacket for inside wear.

We will also be planning our “End of the Year” celebration.  Details will come home shortly.  It will probably occur during the final week of school (on one of the early release days).  Keep your calendar open.

The children have learned soooooo much this year.  We are so very proud of each and every one of them.  We look forward to having them share some of what they have learned with you at our final celebration.  Thank you for your continued support all year long.  Education is a “Home-School Connection”.  Please keep this hard work going throughout the summer.  It is a long time for them to be “off”.  Continue to read, write, add, subtract, and review those interactive science and social studies notebooks.  Thanks again for all of your support!
