Summer vacation will
be here before we know it! Thanks again for all of your support
for the PTA this year. As parents of elementary age children, it
is often difficult to juggle so much and we are pulled in many
directions…but so many of you have found ways to help make a difference
at our school. Your time and financial contributions
truly enhance every student’s education at TES.
The goal of the PTA
Executive Board this year has been to carefully evaluate the way we
spend all monies and focus mainly on enhancing education and limit
fundraising. With the exception of the carnival, all family night
events have been at no additional cost to parents. We have had
positive feedback concerning many of the new events we introduced this
year including The Magic of Nutrition, Hands on Science Night, and
Pancakes for Pops. Finally, the PTA initiative of obtaining a $3,500
Lowes Toolbox Grant and additional PTA funding support will allow our
school to develop an outside classroom and Junior Master Gardener
Program. Our new
