In 2006, the Virginia General Assembly required that all school division's adopt a plan for ongoing internet safety training for all students, teachers and administrators.

This site is designed so all York County School employees are equipped with the resources and tools needed to help educate our students on Internet Safety. Like the Internet, topics regarding internet safety are fluid and it is imperative that all staff stay abreast of constantly changing safety information and communicate the message of staying safe to students. Information regarding online safety should be integrated into the curriculum throughout the school year. When taking students to the lab, bringing portable wireless devices into the classroom, researching information via the internet and/or collaborating in an online environment such as a wiki or discussion board, educators are afforded the perfect opportunity to mention or suggest ways students can protect themselves from online dangers.

In this site you will find the following
