Welcome!

This website is for the use of you, the student.  It is intended as a one-stop resource to help you learn, understand, and appreciate the subject you are studying.  For the 2006-2007 academic year, I am teaching World History One as well as Virginia and United States History.

Both classes are SOL courses.  That means you'll take an SOL exam on the content, skills, and ideas you learn in the classroom.  And for most of you, you'll need to pass the SOL exam to get your diploma.  So please, utilize this site as much as possible.

I've included a wide variety of information for you here.  There is the homework page, of course, along with course syllabi, links to great historical information and online resources, and even answers to common questions. The most important component, however, it the content review section.  Ever a work in progress, it will house many of the resources utilized in class, from videos and PowerPoints to handouts and charts.
