Welcome to Queens Lake Middle School

 Our PTA, an important element in our school community, links home and school by providing a way to support the educational program and to get to know other parents and teachers.

Did you know that in 1900, the PTA was incorporated under DC laws during the administration of Theodore Roosevelt? He served for 19 years on its Advisory Council and in 1905 gave federal aid for kindergarten and elementary schools and salary increases for teachers. The PTA has continuously been in the forefront fighting for better salaries for our teachers and advocating for our children at all stages of their development. The PTA is most worthy of your support.

Your PTA would love to see MORE PARENTS involved on the QLMS team which also consists of our teachers, administration, and the local community. Please carefully consider how you can become a greater part of your child’s school life. During the year the PTA provides support for the following special events, New Student Orientation, The Science Fair, a dance and the Springfest. There are many other ways to support our school community through the PTA. We need your talents and enthusiasm to make things happen. Members are always welcome at our monthly board meetings, usually held on the first Tuesday of the month, but check the PTA Bulletin Board to make sure of the date, we welcome your input at all times.

The Queens Lake PTA meets monthly on the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30 pm. Meetings are held in the Queens Lake library. Please feel welcome to attend and help us make the QLMS PTA the best that it can be. .
