Choose one of the following questions.  This assignment is worth 20 points.

  1. Imagine each fundamental force was a “superhero” and design a costume for each that illustrated his or her “powers” or attributes.  Use the information from the video and your chart.  You may work in small groups and you may use colored pencils to draw your “superheroes”.  The best examples will be displayed in our room and on the class website.
  2. The professor in the video explained why Newton’s 2nd Law is so vitally important to today’s physicists.  Write a short essay (one page) detailing why it is important to study Newton’s 2nd Law, even though it was discovered over three hundred years ago, in 1687.
  3. Write a poem or song about the four fundamental forces and Newton’s 2nd Law.
  4. Create a poster or leaflet that illustrates the four fundamental forces and gives examples of each.
