After twenty years in the corporate world of Sales and Marketing, I returned to teaching to find great advances in Technology and Education.  I also returned to find SOLs, NCLB, and AYP.  Students face more challenges now than ever before.  I look forward to helping them achieve their best success!
11th Grade English is the End-Of-Course SOL preparation for high school English.  It is an all-encompassing curriculum with emphasis on Writing and Research through the study of American Literature.  From Native American Mythology through Modern Writers, the Junior year takes students through centuries of great literature and drama, introducing them to characters they will long remember.
    Every student learns in his or her own way.  In an effort to meet the needs of different learning styles, my classes intertwine Art, Music, and Photography into the study of books, plays, essays, poetry, and short stories.  Writing workshops are conducted on a regular basis with the goal of ensuring SOL success as well as fostering creative expression.
