I have been teaching
at York High School for twelve Years. I received my Bachelor's degree
from the University of Delaware and my Teaching Certification from
Christopher Newport University. I love teaching History and enjoy the
opportunity to teach so close to Yorktown, Jamestown and Colonial
Williamsburg. I have been married for twenty nine years to my wife
Patricia and we have two rambunctious dogs, a Border Collie named
Geno, and a Jack Russell named Petunia. I coach Track and Field, both
Indoor and Outdoor, at York High School as well as the Junior Varsity
Academic Challenge Team. I also assist Coach Jackson and Coach Rice
with Cross Country and Debate from time to time. I enjoy running and
playing music as well as reading and kayaking. I have been selected to
teach at the Governor's School for the Arts and Humanties at the
University of Richmond for the past two years and I have enjoyed the
opportunity to work with so many gifted students. I received the York
County High School Teacher of the Year award in 2002 and recently was
honored by being awarded the Michael Sullivan or Sully Award in
2007.
