Tests/Projects(35%):  Testing is used to monitor the retention of course material.  Tests will be based on classwork,                                             homework, and quizzes.  Study guides will be provided for most tests.  Projects are used to                                             involve students more deeply into the course material.  Students will complete a variety of creative                                     projects as well as more traditional projects.

Quizzes (20%):            Quizzes are used to monitor progress of students within a unit of instruction.  Some quizzes will be                                     announced; some will not.  On quizzes that are NOT announced, students will be allowed to use                                         their notebooks.

Current Events (10%):Psychology is a social science where information is continually being added and updated.                                                  Students will be required to complete a current events assignments every other week as a                                                 supplement to course material.  In these assignments, student will be asked to apply what they                                         have learned to the world around them.  Specific instructions will be provided.
