I have been teaching in York County for 8 years and I also attended Tabb Intermediate and High Schools. I grew up in a military family and Yorktown, VA was our last stop. I graduated from CNU with a BS in Biology and have also done some graduate work there in Environmental Science. I am married with no children except Matilda – my adorable Black Labrador, Andrew the cat and a Beta fish named Rameus.

I have worked in many different jobs since graduating from college. I started out working in a laboratory that conducted materials science research – things like developing chemical coatings for jet engines. From there, I went to massage therapy school and became a Licensed Massage therapist. I worked for the Crime Scene Unit of Hampton Police Department before teaching. I enjoy teaching Life Science because I love studying living things and I love learning. While in high school, I worked at Ken Matthews Landscape Nursery and also at a veterinary office. I loved working with animals and if I could change anything about my life, I would have gone to veterinary school.

These days I enjoy spending time with my family, doing anything outside, photography, and playing volleyball. I am also active in my church.
