Here is a little information
about me. Ms. Phillips grew up in Virginia Beach, but lived 30
minutes from the beach! She has only lived in Virginia. She
earned her BA in environmental science at the University of Virginia,
where she studied different types of plants that live in the Chesapeake
Bay. She decdied through work at an afterschool program she
wanted to be a teacher, so she went to William and Mary and receieved a
MA Ed in Elementary Education. She taught second grade at Tanners
Creek Elementary in Norfolk two years and is very excited to teach
Kindergarten again this year. This will be her third year
teaching Kindergarten. She likes spending time with her family
and her boyfriend of 6 years, Ryan (aka Mr. Kipper). She has two
playful,
but sometimes bad, cats. Their names are Sasha and Gracie.
She also has a chicken named Silky that lives on a farm in
Gloucester. Besides teaching Kindergarten, she likes to exercise,
swim, go surfing, run, and
especially read.
