Our
Class
Our goal for the class this year is for
all
students to become
independent learners, who work, play, and have fun. We want our
students to gain a base knowledge of phonics and language that will
help them begin to become fluent and thoughtful readers and
writers. In our class, we also practice being kind and making
good choices. By focusing on these things, we hope to establish a
foundation that helps each student throughout their academic
career. |

May in Kindergarten
- Math: We will be learning about counting money to 10 cents and recognizing all the coins. We will also explore probability.
- Social
Studies:
We will learn about Economics.
- Science:
We will be learning about how to help our enviroment and conserve
resources. We
will also begin incubating chicken and goose eggs.
- Reading:
We will continue to practice our sight words and sounding words out
when reading. We will continue to ask questions to gain
comprehension skills.
- Writing:
We will practice leaving space between words, using upper and lower
case letters correctly, and writing sentences that follow a logical
flow.
- Character
Traits: We will be working on following directions and
being respectful of others. We will be kind to others and safe on
the playground.
