Meet Ms.Ewell

BridgetCoolPic

I reside in York County, and I am the proud mother of a wonderful son named Dustin and a delightful sheltie named Kyra. I enjoy reading, watching television, going to movies, listening to music, teaching baton and dance, and being on the GHS Band Staff as the Flag Coach.

I went to school right here in York County. I attended Grafton Bethel Elementary and then, in a time when a Tabb school sported the colors of blue and white, I was Tabb Intermediate Trojan. Moreover, although I am now a PROUD Clipper, I am also a proud graduate of Tabb High School – home of the TIGERS.

My undergraduate degree is from Christopher Newport University—a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a concentration in Language Arts. My Education Certification is through Old Dominion University and the VA Department of Education—PK-6 Elementary Education and 6-12 English.

My basic philosophy of education is that all children can learn and have a right to do so. My job as their teacher is…to the best of my ability…see that every student succeeds in his or her own right. I teach because I truly love working with the students, not to mention that I love to learn new things and helping them to do so is the icing on the cake! The interactions with the children are genuinely rewarding, and I enjoy sharing their accomplishments.
