Life Skills Reading and Written Language Learning Objectives
Students will participate in silent/or oral reading activities designed to improve and enhance skills in word recognition of basic sight/functional vocabulary, word recognition in simple sentences and passages, written and oral comprehension necessary for independent living, and oral expression. Students will participate in activities designed to improve and enhance skills in structural analysis of language to include prefixes and suffixes, common abbreviations, contractions, and antonyms and suynonyms. Students will participate in spelling and writing activities ephasizing the following: handwriting, writing specific personal data, filling out various forms, and producing various written products.
