| I was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin and via Memphis,
Tennessee and Tampa, Florida landed in York County about eleven years
ago. I am a graduate of Old Dominion University were I
received
my Master's Degree in Middle School Education. I have been
teaching Math for five years. I think that the best thing
about school is that here you learn that you are of all things "human"
and that you have the ability (however limited) to change the
atmosphere around you. I love
teaching
because it gives me the opportunity impact the future. I was blessed to participate in a life-changing event in the summer of 2005--a trip to Kampala, Uganda. There I encountered many amazingly unique people. What the Ugandans lack in technology and modern commodities they more than make up for in beauty and fullness of character. If I learned anything there it is that at the end of the day your integrity and character are the two things that make or break you, not what you own or what material items you lack. My hope is that my students this year learn something about Math and much about themselves. |
