Memory
by Mary C.
In your memory,
In your golden reverie,
I am someone else, you see
I’m not that girl from memory.
Deep inside, I have changed.
In my heart, I’ve been replace.
For acceptance must be paid,
And my dreams must be delayed.
A new girl stands in my place,
Not knowing things of better days.
Just waiting to find the steady pace,
And following the common ways.
