Welcome to Kindergarten
***Homework has started! It will be coming home Monday – Thursday nights. It is important that students establish a homework routine early!***
In Kindergarten we will be studying
English: Learning the Alphabet Letters (upper and lower case) and their sounds, to write our name and sentences, and learning to read!!
Science: Scientific investigation, color mixing, Force, Motion and Energy, Matter, Magnets, Life Processes (basic needs and life cycles of plants and animals), and the relationship in Earth and Space (shadows).
Math: Numbers and Number sense, Sorting, Geometry and Patterns, Money, Computation and Estimation, and Measurement.
Social Studies: Events and people in history (presidents, pilgrims, etc.), geography, Needs and Wants and Civics.
