Dear Seaford Families,

            Recently, Seaford Elementary School was honored for receiving the Governor’s Award for Educational Excellence.  Seaford was one of only 89 schools in the state of Virginia to earn this distinction.  Seaford was able to earn this award by consistently meeting or exceeding state and federal benchmarks as well as meeting rigorous achievement goals set by the state in the area of reading. 

            We believe that there are many factors that lead to the success of the students of Seaford.  These include motivated students, supportive families, and a dedicated team of educational professionals.   We are fortunate here at Seaford to be blessed with a faculty and staff who are committed to meeting the social and academic needs of each of our students.  When students struggle, the team works collaboratively with our families to identify, implement, and monitor interventions until we are able to get the students back to successful.   Our families are with us each step of the way working together to build brighter futures for the students of Seaford.

It is truly an honor to serve here at Seaford with a team of educators who share such a high level of dedication toward educating children with great care.  We are very proud of and thankful for each member of our faculty and staff and for our wonderful students and families!   It is our educational partnership with you that allows the students of Seaford to shine!
