For students to learn and work together, and to promote a safe school environment, it is important that students exhibit appropriate behavior. The York County School Division Student Handbook and Conduct Code lists specific offenses and a range of consequences for misbehavior. Seaford Elementary administrators and teachers will follow the conduct code and take care to ensure that consequences for misbehavior are reasonable, related and respectful. Possible consequences could include time out, removal from class, note and/or phone call to parents, referral to Guidance Counselor, loss of privileges, after school detention, in-school suspension, out of school suspension, and recommendation for expulsion.
Basic school rules include:
- Respect each other
- Use self-control
- Do your best work
- Follow directions
- Be responsible
