SECTION 9.5.1 - CURRICULUM CHANGE Assessment of educational needs is the basis for proposed instructional programs. Requests for new courses and non-state adopted textbooks are forwarded to the Superintendent who submits a recommendation to the School Board for appropriate action. The Division strives to equalize programming at all schools. Requests for new courses must support the Standards of Learning and School Board initiatives and be made through the Director of Curriculum and Academic Services. The Program of Studies is reviewed annually and revised periodically. ADOPTED: June 20, 1988 |
