Students had a terrific time making globes and studying about maps. We are now ready to begin our unit on Explorers. Our unit will cover Christopher Columbus, Juan Ponce de Leon, Jacques Cartier, and Christopher Newport.
Don't forget book reports are due on Tuesday, October 30. Book reports should be about a mystery on your child's reading level.
SCA is collecting food for the Food Drive. Some types of food are needed more than others. They include: pancake mix, peanut butter, syrup, oatmeal, cereals, canned tuna fish, macaroni and cheese, jelly / jam, crackers, bar soap, dish washing soap, pasta, boxed stuffing, diapers, diaper wipes, tooth brushes, and toilet paper.
Students will participate in a fall fun project on October 31. Children will make a craft and enjoy a small snack. Thanks to all of the parents who are organizing this event.

Spelling Words
Remember to review pervious spelling words. Three words from the past will be used each week to make up the 20 words for the test.
