Welcome to Magruder Elementary School

Who can believe that we are so close to the end of the school year.  We are very busy reviewing skills that we have learned this year as we prepare for our SOL Tests.  Please encourage your child to review all of the study packets sent home over the last weeks.

We began our "Race for the Governor's Mansion" review cards on May 1st.  Please review these with your child nightly and sign their log.  On May 15th, we will begin our SOL Study review with (4) weekly test.  Students will take each test until they are able to pass with a 95% passing rate.

I know that  the weather outside is nice and students are really anxious for the summer break, however, it very important that they understand that we are still studying and reviewing.  We still have homework and classwork to complete and will be very busy.

SOL Schedule:
             English:  Thursday, May 31st
             Virginia Studies:  Monday, June 4th
             Math:  Tuesday, June 5th
