November News

fall

Check our school November calendar for school events.

Who can believe that we are into the season's rush of the holidays.  As you receive this edition our November Newsletter, we are into the second quarter of our school year.  Report cards have been sent out and I had a great opportunity to meet with most of you to discuss your wonderful student and their school success.

I am happy to assure you that we have had a productive first quarter of learning and am looking forward to the next quarter excitedly.  I thank you for your support and involvement.  Special thanks go out to Mr. & Mrs. Reynolds, Mrs. Westlund, Mrs. Barnes, Mrs. O'Neill, Ms. Johnson, Mrs. West, and Mrs. Canoy for coming in to help with our many hands-on- activities during the month of October.  Please feel to contact me with an available time if you would like to volunteer at any time to help out.

Please remind your student that learning is a child's job at school, therefore, they are responsible for completing and turning in all assignments when due.  Homework is given daily Monday thru Thursday, most of which is completed in class and should not take longer than 30 - 40 mins.  If homework is taking longer than this please write a note in their agenda.  In addition encourage your students to have their agenda signed nightly.   Also, don't forget to check our fourth grade web page found at yorkcountyschool.org. for information and activites.  Check our website often for updates and changes!

There will be only one book report due on December 18 that covers both the months of November and December.  The students should choose a mystery or adventure book at their reading level.  Reading logs and directions have been sent home and are also available on our web page.

Please feel contact me with any concerns.

Educationally yours,

Mrs. Hodges
