Welcome to Second Grade students and parents.  Our days will be filled with learning experiences as we strive to meet our State's Standards of Learning.  The following information may be helpful to you.   Please read through it and if you have any questions, please leave me a message on my classroom phone 564-6626.

Homework

A homework packet will be sent home each Friday and will be collected the following Friday morning. Please check to see that you child has their homework packet each week.  A Family TImes activity sheet will have one activity  highlighted and choices for the other practice.  Reading  twenty minutes each weeknight is also required to enhance students' reading skills. 

Math homework will be sent home in the agenda or take home folder.


Lunch Information

The cost for a student lunch is $1.90.  Students may  bring money daily or parents may send in payment by check or cask for me to send down to the cafeteria.  If you would like your child to buy extra snacks during lunch, please send a note so the cafeteria manager will knows how much money goes in the  "ala carte" account.  Students may bring a water bottle to keep at their desk in the classroom.
