are busy learning in first grade!
Science Units of study for the next few months are natural resources, reusing, recycling, and renewing. We will then study plants. Reading Please continue to practice
reading nightly. Your child has a reading goal each
month. The goal is found at the top of the reading log. If
he or she reads a Book Baggie nightly and
reads the 3 library books that come home each week, this goal is very
achievable. Please remember to fill in the reading log each night.
PRACTICE ADDITION and SUBTRACTION FACTS! We are learning addition &
subtraction facts
to12. Please work with your child to memorize these facts.
Second grade teachers are expecting your child to have mastered
these facts in first grade.
WRITING Please watch our movies of stories we have written in class. We will be posting new movies during the next months. |
