Computation/Number Sense

  • Factor Tree This website utilizes factor trees to help students find the GCF and LCM of two numbers. It gives the students feedback as the work towards their goal
  • Numberline Bounce Numberline game for students to practice adding and subtracting with integers.
  • Flashcards Interactive flashcards for students including: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square roots, order of operations, inequalities and basic operations with integers.
  • One False Move Game allowing students to demonstrate knowledge of appropriate order of integers.
  • Line Jumper Game involving number line to practice addition and subtraction of integers. Skill levels are divided into easy, medium and hard.
  • Soccer Shootout Game allowing students to practice basic operations dealing with whole numbers and fractions.
  • MathCar Racing Racing game challenging students to practice basic operations with and without integers.
  • Power Football Students practice basic operations. All skill levels. They can also choose algebra style, in this scenario one of the numbers other than the answer is missing.
  • Math Baseball Another website where students are able to practice basic facts through a game.

Patterns/Algebra/Functions

  • Function Machine This website allows students to explore patterns using a function machine.
  • Grapher This website allows students to graph functions and compare.(Exploration only, no functions given to begin with)
  • Operation Order Students play game using order of operations. They have to drop appropriate number into an equation to get the answer. The skill levels are divided into easy, medium and hard.
  • What's the Point? Students are challenged in this activity to graph points on a coordinate grid system.
  • Math for Morons
    • Basic Graphing Website reviewing the coordinate plane and how to graph. After students review the online notes and examples they can take an interactive quiz.
    • Equations Advanced website reviewing equations. Students will review tutorial on equations and then take quiz.
  • Wise Up Students learn about mean, median and mode. Students may take a test to evaluate knowledge.
  • Bar Graphs interpreting bar graphs. Skill Level - Easy

Geometry

  • Shape Surveyor Activity allowing students to calculate the area, perimeter or both. All skill levels
  • Area Explorer - This activity allows the user to test his or her skill at calculating the area of a random shape. The user is given a random figure and allowed to enter a value for the area. The applet then informs the user whether or not the answer is correct. The user may continue trying until the answer is correct.
