Educational Philosophy

I teach Physical Education because of my belief that active lifestyles lead to healthy and happy people.  The most important aspect of Physical Education is its result:  improved fitness, wellness and quality of life.  As a P.E. teacher, I will teach you the skills and knowledge to enhance your ability and motivation to be active.  Participation is the key.  Simply moving and getting your body running enhances your fitness and wellness, not only today, but for the whole of your life.
Students may enhance their learning or the positive effects of Physical Education, by taking it home.  P.E. homework or extra benefit can be practiced by engaging in exercise (walking, bike riding, etc.) or playing games that involve moving (like tennis, frisbee, etc.).  These activities or exercise can also be shared with family and friends, which not only enhances the quality of life of our students, but brings it home for the benefit of family and friends.
