HAVE YOU BEEN ACCEPTED TO A COLLEGE?

Please share the news! When you receive a letter of acceptance from a college, please bring the letter to the Guidance Office and we will make a copy for our records. Also, we will post your name

on an ongoing list of, “Look who’s been accepted where!

It is a lot of fun to share this news with your classmates!

FINANCIAL AID

The Free Application for Federal Student Aide (FAFSA) will be available in the guidance office sometime after Thanksgiving break. Applying online with FAFSA on the Web at www.fafsa.ed.gov is faster and easier than using the paper FAFSA. Submit your FAFSA early, but not before January 1, 2007.

Before beginning your FAFSA on the Web, you must apply for a PIN at www.pin.ed.gov. You will receive your PIN within a few days and then you can electronically sign your FAFSA on the Web when you have completed the application! One parent must sign your FAFSA as well. To sign electronically, your parent must also apply for a PIN at the same Web address.

Text Box: Grafton High School is sponsoring a
Financial Aid Information Night on
Monday January 8th at 6:30 p.m.

Warning!!!

Be wary of organizations that charge a fee to submit your FAFSA application or to find you money for school. In general, the help you pay for can be obtained for free from your high school, the college financial aid offices or the U.S. Department of Education.

Attention College Bound Student Athletes

All high school athletes wishing to compete in college must register with the NCAA Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse at www.ncaa.org. The Student Release Form (SRF) is critical. By filling it out completely and signing it, you are authorizing Grafton High School to send your transcript and test scores to the NCAA Clearinghouse. You are also authorizing the Clearinghouse to send this information to all colleges requesting your eligibility status. Print a copy of your completed registration form. When printing, you will receive two copies, copy #1 and copy #2. Give both copies to the

Guidance Secretary who will then send copy #1, along with an official copy of your high school transcript to the NCAA Clearinghouse.
