ADDITIONAL SERVICES
- Psychologist - A school psychologist is available on a part-time basis for screening, testing, and group and individual counseling.
- Social Worker - A social worker is available on an as-needed basis to do home visits and family sociological interviews.
- Bacon Street - Bacon Street is a community-based program that works in our schools to help students who are at risk due to problems relating to alcohol and/or drug use. Students are seen either in group counseling sessions or individually. Notify a student's counselor if you feel that an individual is appropriate for Bacon Street services.
MEDIA CENTER
The media center is open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
STUDENT PROCEDURES
- All students, faculty, and student teachers will be issued a free library card with a barcode number for checking out all media center materials. If the student card is lost, a replacement card may be purchased for $.25.
- Books will be loaned for 2 weeks and may be renewed if they are not needed for research assignments.
- Reference books and magazines will be loaned for overnight use to be returned before the first block class the next day.
- A fine of $.05 per school day per item will be charged for regular overdue items.
- A fine of $.50 per day will be charged for late overnight materials, including reference books, reserve books, magazines, and AV materials.
- Overdue notices will be sent to first period teachers for distribution to students.
- The charge for all lost materials will be the list price. If these materials are subsequently found, money will be refunded minus the overdue fine.
- Media center materials may be deposited in the book return at the circulation desk.
- Students using the media center during class periods and lunch must have a library pass signed by a teacher. Teachers may obtain library passes from the media specialist.
- When classes come to the media center as a group, students must wait in the hallway until the teacher brings them in.
