Jean Austin

Special Education Teacher

Hello!  I am Jean Austin, special education teacher.  This is my fifth year at Grafton Bethel.  I am currently working with third and fourth grades at GBES.  I have an elementary education degree from Christopher Newport, and taught third grade for seven years in Newport News.  I earned my masters in special education while living in Connecticut and taught reading in New London, CT. 
 
When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons.  I also like to do crafts, work any kind of puzzle, and read mysteries.
 
I am looking forward to another great year.
