"Mrs. Childress"

Welcome to the World of Music at Grafton Bethel!

If you are a musician remember you can

Handel anything!

All classes come to music once a week. In the course of a year we cover such topics as steady beat, rhythm, tempo, dynamics, pitch, form, listening and of course we sing, dance, and play instruments.

All grade levels are involved in presenting a program at different times through out the school year. This year those programs will include:

Kindergarten

Feel free to contact me, 833-2108, if you have any questions.  I’m looking forward to working with your child through music here at Grafton Bethel Elementary!  Keep singing!                                                                                                                 Carol Childress

Why do I teach music?

-not because I expect you to major in music

-not because I expect you to play or sing all your life

-not so you can relax and have fun.

BUT

-so you will be human

-so you will recognize beauty

-so you will be close to an Infinite beyond this world

-so you will have something to cling to

-so you will have more love, more compassion, more gentleness, more good . . . in short, more life.

Of what value will it be to make a prosperous living unless you know how to live?
