The York County School Division

All new teachers are provided with professional and personal support activities, such as New Teacher Orientation and the Mentor Teacher Program.

Through the Mentor Teacher Program, teachers who are new to York County are paired with veteran teachers who provide assistance in the transition to the classroom, Division and community.

Teachers who have attained continuing contract status have the flexibility to structure their own professional development plans, individualizing their plans for relicensure by following state guidelines. Trained school-based advisors are available to assist teachers in the relicensure process.
