The AR program is designed to build confident, independent readers. Students choose books within their AR independent reading level. When finished, they take a computerized quiz on their book.

These are the quizzes available at Dare, broken down by levels.  These lists will help you to identify books appropriate for your child from the public libraries or your home library. For your convenience, the Tabb and York libraries have copies of the AR list at the Information Desk.

Please join us in helping our children become enthusiastic readers! Read to your children, and with them. Indicate interest by asking about their book. Model a love for reading by sharing what you are reading, perhaps something from the newspaper or a magazine. By working together, we will give our children a love for reading that will last their entire lives!
