YCSD y-Line Dear Dare Families, Many of you with students at the middle and high school may be familiar with the Y-line. The Y-line is a relatively new form of communication that allows schools to send e-mail messages out. We would like to use the Y-line to help us communicate with our Dare families who sign up to receive e-mails from Dare. Currently, we have 114 subscribers. We would like to invite you to subscribe to the Y-line. If you would like to sign up, please visit the Dare homepage and click on the Y-Line on the left hand side. This will get you started and the process is easy to follow from there. Congratulations to our staff members who recently received higher education degrees:

DES Recognized as a 2008 Distinguished Title I School

The Virginia Board of Education has recognized Dare Elementary School for making adequate yearly progress for the past two consecutive years, without using the safe harbor provision; for being fully accredited for the past two consecutive years; for exceeding the annual measurable objectives in English and mathematics for the past two consecutive years; and for having a mean score at the 60th percentile in English and mathematics on the Standards of Learning assessments.
