Reading: 
Students have completed their third unit of the Scott Foresman Reading Series and are beginning Unit 4, "From Past To Present."  You may continue to stay informed regarding skills in reading, language and spelling through the "Family Times" newsletter that comes home with your child each Monday.  Children should continue to read for AR and Book-It.  Thank you for your home support with these reading activities.

Math: 
Students are working on fractions, decimals, and measurement.  Please continue to encourage your child to practice multiplication facts at home nightly tohelp them become proficient with these facts.

Science: 
Students will be studying cycles of the moon, tides, matter, and changes in the Earth during the third quarter.

Social Studies: 
We will continue to learn about ancient civilizations of Mali, Greece and Rome.  We will also begin our studies of European explorers.
