ExpectationsWhen your child enters third grade these are some of the expectations of your child. · Students should be able to write in complete sentences. They should be able to write a five sentence indented paragraph with a topic sentence. · Students should be able to write beginning cursive letters (lower case). · Students should memorize addition and subtraction facts (0-18). · Students should be able to read a book on their level with fluency and expression. · Students should be able to demonstrate responsibility and independence. Homework will be assigned Monday-Thursday evenings at a maximum of 45 minutes per night. · Students should treat adults and other students with respect at all times.
