| The purpose of
the York County
Special Education Advisory Committee is to advise and assist the York
County
School Division in identifying strengths and weaknesses of its special
education services as well as unmet needs. This committee meets
regularly, and
the committee is comprised of parents of students with disabilities who
attend
York County Schools |

The
Parent Resource Center (PRC) has been established as a part of York
County School Division to help parents become effective partners in
planning
and implementing appropriate special education programs for their
children. A
parent of a child with a disability staffs the PRC along with an
educator of
special needs children. The PRC provides assistance to parents who need
help
finding information and resources needed for their children. Assistance
is also
available to parents in the areas of the special education process,
current
issues and support. |
